5 Easy Home Workout Routines You Can Start Today!

In today’s day and age when we are all pressed for time, home workouts are becoming only a way of life. It is difficult to fix a time every day to rush to the gym and home workouts ensure continuity in the exercise regime. Home workouts with or without equipment could also have the same benefit as a gym workout if done well and on a regular basis. Here are 5 easy home workout routines for you to start off with today to get that perfectly toned body and get rid of the flab.

1. Planks

One of the best forms of intense workout for the abs, the plank is the favorite pose of the personal trainers. You can perform it anywhere, even if you are traveling. It helps in overall toning of the body, strengthens the spine, arms and the wrists along with toning up the core. Do at least 2 reps X 10, holding the pose each time for at least 15 seconds.

2. Squats

The perfect workout to get the toned thighs. This workout targets the lower body and is one of the best home exercises to lose weight. Make sure you watch one of the videos for the right way of doing it before you start on this workout.

3. Pushups

Pushups are again one of the best home workouts you can do to tone up your entire upper body. Pushups work around the arms, shoulders, chest, spine and the core muscles helping you tone them and gain strength.

4. Lunges

These are an excellent form of workouts as they provide an intense cardio workout when done with increased intensity. Lunges are great workout routine for toned legs and for reducing the belly fat.

5. Toe touchdown

It is from the yoga workout but has great benefits, almost same as a gym workout. This form of workout requires one to sit on a yoga mat, and bend forward to touch the toes. This home workout is excellent for bringing about the stretch in the entire body and making it flexible. It also helps in reducing the abdominal flab.
