Test A: Your Body Composition

Doctors use a measuring tape to find your height-to-waist ratio. As per several expert surgeons and doctors, your waist circumference must be less than half of your height. For instance, if your height is 70 inches, then the waist circumference must be under 35 inches. Just keep your height-to-waist ratio to at least 2:1 and increase your life expectancy to a great extent. If you are unable to do so, inflammation issues, diabetes, heart disease, or stroke knock at your door every now and then.

Some doctors use waist-to-hip ratio to properly analyze the distribution of fat on your body. If your body shape resembles the classic apple shape, then there a high possibility of heart disease and diabetes. Some body types could treat this body type imperfectly. For instance, females with the thin and straight body are more prone to health-related hazards. So, in such cases, doctors measure both your height-to-waist and your waist-to-hip ratio to know the actual risk very well.

If not, then you may be suffering from the shortage of core, which is essential for strength and movement stability. Always keep in mind that a strong core helps you to get rid of back pains. If you are not able to hold a plank for 2 minutes, it proves that you are carrying excess weight and will be benefited if its amount is reduced.

When you have a plank position, try to pull your belly button which is associated with your transverse abdominis. You must also try a Kegel squeeze. Actually, it is done by drawing your lower pelvic muscles up and holding them up high and tight. This exercise will let you feel relaxed and enable to pay attention to your abdominal muscles.
